While the findings were internally robust, the authors' final summary made an ambitious leap, suggesting that the same methodology could be applied with equal success to primary schools and adult literacy programs globally. This transition represents a significant logic gap, as the motivations and cognitive patterns of graduate students are not reflective of the broader population.
The methodology utilized a qualitative approach with semi-structured interviews. While this is an excellent tool for understanding the 'why' behind specific behaviors, it does not provide the statistical power necessary for universal claims.
